What's the Dill?

What's the Dill?

I’d like to take a second to share with you what took place in our last Creative Burst Session. Picture this: we've got paper, brushes, and a palette full of colors like sunny yellows and earthy browns. I explained the inspiration for  these colors and introduced our trusty brushes – just the basics: a medium round, a bigger wash brush, and a tiny detail brush.

Now, you're probably wondering what we painted. Get ready – it was a sprig of dill! Simple, right? Hey, there's creativity in everything. I told everyone, including participants like Susan and Nancy, to find inspiration in nature.

As we painted and let our imaginations fly free, I shared some tips. Keep it light, keep it fun – no need for perfection. And guess what? The results were amazing!

For those feeling brave, I suggested adding details with pen and ink, or trying a soft background wash. But the real magic? It's about enjoying the process. Forget about getting it perfect and just have fun.

As we wrapped things up, I reminded everyone to share their creations. Pop over to my Facebook page and show off! It's awesome to connect with fellow creators, right?

So, here's the real deal – enjoy every moment of creating. I have heard it said that we are human beings not human doings. We get so caught up in our daily grind that  it's easy to forget the simple joys. Getting lost in a painting, even a tiny sprig of dill? Pure bliss! And oh so beneficial to our well being.

So, friend, we will be meeting again this Thursday for another Creative Burst Session. Staying with the theme of herbs, we will give some lavender a try! I look forward to seeing you there. Be sure to bring a friend and let's keep our creativity flowing.
